Chinese Drywall Toxic?

On September 30th 2010 the US Internal Revenue Service offered families primarily in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Southeast Texas the ability to get some tax deductions, if their home contains toxic Chinese drywall.

Officials say more than 40,000 homes in the U.S. are built with contaminated drywall, and those are only the cases that have been reported. The majority of the product is made by a Chinese manufacturer, and can be found mainly in the southern states.

The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center is promising homeowners in Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Virginia, and Southeast Texas, that it will keep up its efforts to get meaningful help for families living in a toxic drywall home, no matter how long it takes.
