Why do we keep buying imports from China if the products are dangerous?

I had Chinese drywall which is a hazards product shipped into the U.S. from China. I just read that chinese drywall isn’t the first import from China that had some material in it that was a hazard to us. Their toys,shrimp drywall, what next!
