First off, find out when those drywalls were installed in your home (your parents house). If they are older then 7 years old, there is nothing to worry about. You can continue living in your parents house.

You ar cofuse grasshopper. Chinese drywall? That to me is drywall in Chinatown.
Get your information straight. Cut out a piece and take it to your local building supply store and ask them what is the stuff you got in your hands.
Leave hole in wall. It is access for cockroaches. Then maybe cleaning ? After all, you are a 16 year old…so it is probably very dusty in there….so there.

Chinese Dry wall as you stated will corode any copper or wiring in the home even if it is new. It often turns certain metals black. I had thought that we had this problem soon after my condo was remodeled. However it just turned out that one of our contractors hadn’t treated the sheet-rock in my closet and it was causing many environmental problems in my home. There is a simple test your parents can do. They can look at the copper pluming, AC wiring, and check for corrosion. Pull off five or six electrical face plates (Do Not Touch The Wires). If the copper ground wire or the electrical wires have turned black, or are charred, you should contact the Homeowners Consumer Center immediately at 866-714-6466, or contact them via their web site at
If it is not chinese drywall it may be something simple like poor air quality and allergens try an air purification system with a hepa filter, or just cleaning out your home filters. Good luck and good health to you!

You should listen to your parents and stop watching so much TV.
